What is Melanotan I?

Melanotan I is an analog of the peptide hormone alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone that induces skin tanning. Melanotan plays a role in stimulating melanogenesis and increasing the production and secretion of the hormone melanin. Melanotan I is FDA approved, and most commonly used to treat patients who experience an intolerance to light.

What can Melanotan I help with?

Melanotan I plays a prominent role in the production of pigment in the skin. This leads to self-tanning with lower UV exposure, allowing for tanning all over, even in places that aren't exposed to sunlight. UV exposure will accelerate the tanning process in exposed areas, however. Melanotan can also help reduce sun damage and increases sexual arousal, sexual desire, and appetite.
